Jonathan Krakow was a Sprout Lake camper in our earliest years and went on to become a beloved member of the staff in the late 1980s. At 6’7″, he was a giant in the eyes of our children, whose love of camp and of “his kids” was returned ten-fold through their love for him. He died of brain cancer in 1994. His family established “The Jonathan Fund” so that children whose families are contending with cancer, can have a session at camp, away from the stresses and strains that accompany such illness. Over the years, many children have been able to attend camp due to this fund. Help us make it possible to provide this kind of getaway to every child that needs it.
