Nestled in the stunning Hudson Valley of New York, CYJ Sprout Lake spans 86 beautiful acres. For over 45 years, we have been dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment where children thrive emotionally, physically, and spiritually. At Sprout Lake, we inspire Jewish children to live their best lives, deepen their connection to Israel and the Jewish community, and become active, compassionate leaders who make a difference in the world.

What sets us apart is our close-knit, personalized camp experience, with a maximum of 225 campers per session. Our fun, innovative, and inclusive programming, combined with state-of-the-art sports facilities, ensures every child can explore their passions and grow in meaningful ways.

At Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake, we believe that every Jewish child deserves a summer where they can just be themselves—have fun, make friends, and feel part of something bigger. We’re a non-denominational camp, meaning our campers come from all walks of Jewish life—no matter your background or affiliation, there’s a place for you here!

We’re all about creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued. Whether you’re a first-time camper or a returning one, Sprout Lake is a place where you can connect with others, grow in new ways, and be part of an inspiring community. Guided by the principle of kol yisrael arevim zeh lazeh (all of Israel is responsible for one another), we’re committed to making sure every camper can shine—no matter their abilities or experiences.

We welcome campers who are excited about being part of a group and are ready to dive into all the fun and adventure we have to offer. We take the time to understand the unique needs of each child, so they feel supported and empowered to participate, learn, and thrive. Our goal is to make sure that everyone at Sprout Lake feels like they belong, grows in confidence, and leaves with memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

Our Mission

The Young Judaea Sprout Camps are dedicated to inspiring Jewish identity, fostering a connection to the State of Israel, and strengthening the sense of Jewish peoplehood. Through a warm and supportive community, we encourage individual growth, cultivate lasting friendships, and promote a deep commitment to Tikun Olam (repairing the world). As the summer expression of Young Judaea, the Zionist Youth Movement, our camps empower campers to develop leadership skills and become active, engaged citizens of the world.
