Jewish Life and Israel
Campers join us with a variety of Jewish backgrounds, and our program is designed to ensure everyone feels instantly at home. Our informal education is intentional and relaxed, with joyful Judaism being lived and learned through the arts, physical activity, and Hebrew. We use music, stories, and games to connect campers to Jewish experiences.
We foster a love and connection to the Jewish people and Israel. Our Israeli counselors are a great addition to helping campers learn about Israel through people and friendships.
Swimming
Our swimming program is more than just fun in the sun. It builds confidence and self-esteem, skills and technique. It turns “I’m scared of the water” into “Look at me- I can swim!”. Campers receive Red Cross swim instruction from our certified lifeguards and enjoy free swims in the pool as well.
Sports
Our sports program offers a wide variety of activities. Every sport is run by a specialist and each and every game is specifically designed for kids. Our sports are designed to ensure that every camper leaves the field feeling like a champion.
In one rotation, campers learn team sports like basketball, kickball, and volleyball. In another rotation, they explore individual sports such as archery, ropes course, ninja course, yoga, and movement. We ensure that every camper finds a healthy way to move and build confidence.
The Arts
Campers engage with various artistic media, including pottery, painting, beading, sewing, and Jewish-themed art throughout the summer.
Performing Arts
Performing arts provide a fun way for campers to express themselves and get active. We incorporate American and Israeli music to energize the crowd, and campers enjoy instruction in Rikkud (Israeli dance), Shira (Israeli songs), drama, improvisation, and performance.
Gardening & Nature
Camper’s love tending to our organic garden, learning how to care for the plants and picking vegetables to create delicious treats. They also enjoy exploring the great outdoors on our easy hiking trails, which offer stunning views of the Croton Reservoir. Along the way, campers learn about nature and the environment
